Aluminum & Brass & Copper Pickguards, Control Plates, Custom Knobs & Switch Tips

The thickness Leo used originally was .063 or 14 gauge (they are the same; metric vs SAE). The thickness his namesake company currently uses is .051 or 16.5 guage. Stamped out in Mexico. The namesake guards and tremelo covers feel flimsy when compared to genuine Tone-Guard® pickguards or tremolo covers. We've had the good fortune to measure many real vintage "Leo" guards over the years.

No, it is not true. The aluminum guards have no properties that will cause that effect. It is well known that some pickups made by certain pickup makers are micro-phonic out the the box. I can't mention names here, I might get sued. ;-) lol
